Hi Movie Fans!
Well it's April and the few trees out here that loose their
leaves are blooming again! Was there a winter this year? I'm
originally from the east coast, NY to be exact and although I
dont miss the snow all that much -- I do miss the four seasons.
Pretty soon it will be so hot out here that you can't stand to go
out, but you can't beat the nights in the Arizona desert.
On another note, tonight is the NCAA championship game. Arizona
Wildcats vs. Duke Blue Devils. I have been a fan of the Wildcats
since soon after moving here -- nearly eight years now. I won't
say too much more than GO WILDCATS!! We may have some Duke fans
reading!
Welcome to our new readers..

racist "shock jock" whose number is up. The two accidentally save

'HOLLYWOOD MADAM' BACK IN JAIL

to report for her mandatory drug testing, both violations of her
supervised release from a federal prison in Dublin, Calif.
KIDMAN MISSCARRIAGE CONFIRMED
Nicole Kidman's Australian-based publicist has confirmed stories
that ran in the New York Daily News and supermarket tabloid the
Star this week that Kidman was nearly three months pregnant when
Tom Cruise filed for divorce last month. Unamed sources claimed
that the actress was pregnant at the time of the split and
subsequently suffered a miscarriage. Kidman's publicist is quoted
as saying "I believe the story is out there and running. We can't
deny the story. It is a private matter for Tom and Nicole to work
out."
SUSAN SUMMERS BATTLING CANCER
Susan Summers revealed on CNN's "Larry King Live" that she's in
treatment for breast cancer and has had liposuction to counter
the effects. Apparently a story ran in the National Enquirer that
Summers visited a Beverly Hills clinic to have "fat suctioned
from her inner and outer thighs, abdomen, hips, and upper back
behind the armpits." After the article made it's way to news
stands Summers felt she needed to respond. Summers explained how
she felt "disfigured" by the disease and the partial mastectomy
and that's why she sought liposuction. While talking to Larry
King she said she had part of her breast removed after a tumor
was found last year during an annual mammogram, and underwent
radiation treatment. However, against the advice of her doctors,
she decided to skip chemotherapy and instead go with a
homeopathic treatment.

IN THE NEWS - Television
====================================
CBS YANKS 'BIG APPLE'
CBS on Friday yanked the critically acclaimed cop drama "Big
Apple" starring Ed O'Neill after just five low-rated airings
despite the networks 13-episode, on-air commitment. Production
hadn't halted on the series as of Friday; it's unclear whether
all 13 will be shot.
Although the show had a strong lead-in with "Survivor" and "CSI"
it was forced to go up against the highest-rated drama on
television, NBC's "ER."
FINAL SHOW FOR DR. LAURA
The struggling TV talk show hosted by Dr. Laura Schlessinger who
was very outspoken in relation to homosexuality and outraged the
gay and lesbian community taped its final episode on Thursday.
After the show premiered last year Schlessinger's detractors
mounted a vigorous campaign urging advertisers to drop
sponsorship of both her programs. More than 90 sponsors across
the U.S. eventually dropped ads to the TV show. In a statement,
Schlessinger said, "I have mixed feelings about the show ending
after one season. On the one hand, I'm relieved, because taping a
one-hour show for television and then doing three live hours of
radio every day was exhausting. On the other hand, I'm very proud
of the show and sad we won't continue." Schlessinger added: "We
set out to create a program that offered daytime audiences a true
alternative and we succeeded. I believe it could have earned a
substantial audience in time, but the television advertiser
boycott precluded that."
'BUFFY' CARTOON IN THE WORKS
Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon has announced that
he's developing an animated, half-hour version of his het WB
series, which will debut on Fox's kid-oriented Saturday-morning
schedule. Although the Buffy we all know has a dark theme Whedon
said the animated spinoff will primarily focus on "the chosen
one" as she deals with adolescence.
CSI TO RERUN ON TNN
TNN has acquired rerun rights to CBS' hit freshman drama "C.S.I.:
Crime Scene Investigation" in a blockbuster deal said to be worth
more than $1.5 million per episode.
