BIG SCREEN FOR 'KNIGHT RIDER'?
Cinescape Online recieved a scoop sent in by the folks at SFX
Network in reference to the popular 1980's show "Knight Rider"
hitting a big screen near you. While talking to fans during a
Yahoo Sponsored chat session, David Hasselhof talked about plans
to ressurect the show by saying "Michael will be brought out of
retirement after being frozen, because he was injected with a
fatal poison. Devon, who is now the great-great-grandniece of
Devon, Michael's boss and mentor, is now running the Foundation
for Law and Government, which is called FLAG. She, with her new
partner (a very young Michael Knight type), will team up with the
original Michael Knight and the new K.I.T.T. to carry on what
will be the Knight Rider 3000 in the future."

BRATT HAS 'INSTINCT'?
Reuters reports that former "Law & Order" star Benjamin Bratt is
currently under consideration to star in "Basic Instinct 2"
opposite Stone, who is attached to reprise her role. The trade
goes on to say that Sharon Stone has the final say over her
leading man, and had yet to give her approval.

DISNEY GETS 'COLD CREEK'
The Walt Disney Co. has snagged a script for a contemporary
thriller called "Cold Creek Manor," which was written by Richard
Jeffries, who is currently involved in co-writing the "Tron 2"
script with Steven Lisberger. "Manor" will tell the story of a
family that moves to their dream house in the country.
Unfortunately, the previous owner, who lost it when he went to
prison, just got out... and he wants his house back.

'THUNDER' SUFFERS DELAYS
According to Daily Variety columnist Michael Fleming, big screen
adaptation of Ray Bradbury's "A Sound of Thunder" is currently
going through rewrites which in turn is delaying the production.
In the film a big game hunter goes into the prehistoric past to
bag himself a dinosaur only to drastically alter the timeline due
to a thoughtless action.

CASTING CONTINUES FOR 'MATRIX'
Harold Perrineau of "Oz," and Daniel Bernhardt of "Mortal Kombat:
Conquest" are the newest members to join the cast of the highly
anticipated "Matrix" sequels, according to the Hollywood
Reporter. In related news, Cinescape Online came across an
interview with Hugo Weaving by the NY Times about what the Matrix
sequels production is doing to avoid information leaks. Weaving
stated that "Even actors who've signed on haven't got their
scripts yet. They know they're playing such-and-such a role, but
they don't know anything about it! I guess with a lot of money at
stake, it's fair enough, but I also think it's a little bit
over-the-top."

PALTROW JOINS 'QUEEN'
Gwyneth Paltrow is attached to star with Meryl Streep in
"Daughter of the Queen of Sheba," which was taken from National
Public Radio correspondent Jacki Lyden's acclaimed 1997 memoir.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, The book describes Lyden's
Wisconsin childhood, in which her mother could be transformed by
her manic depression into the Queen of Sheba or Marie Antoinette,
and an adulthood that led Lyden to seek her own tumultuous
journeys in the Middle East war zones as an NPR correspondent.
The trade goes on to say that the film will see Streep and
Paltrow as mother and daughter, and the story will use the
memoirs as a backdrop to focus on the daughter's adult life, her
relationship with her mother, as well as with men, and her
professional pursuits that take her around the globe.

FOX, FARRELLY BROTHERS GET 'SLEEVE'
20th Century Fox has picked up a comedy pitch called "Nothing Up
My Sleeve" with plans to have Peter and Bobby Farrelly produce.
the film with tell the story of a down and out magician who,
somehow gains real powers, and has trouble controlling them.

RICKY MARTIN MAY STAR IN FILM
While in Sweden on a promotion tour, Ricky Martin told a Swedish
television talk show he might lend his voice to a character in a
movie produced by Steven Spielberg's company Dreamworks. When
asked whether he had any film plans, Martin said: "One is the
possibility to work together with Madonna and Mel Gibson in a
movie."

'AMERICAN OUTLAWS' DATE PUSHED UP
Dimension Films has moved up the James Van Der Beek western
"Texas Rangers" to April 6th, as a result Warners has pushed back
its "American Outlaws" movie to give audiences a breathing space
between westerns. 'Outlaws' is now due out sometime in July or
August. Thanks to DarkHorizons.com for the info.

'BROTHERS' CASTING
Gary Anthony Williams from "Malcolm in the Middle" fame and Neil
Patrick Harris of "Starship Troopers" have been cast in the
live-action comedy feature "Undercover Brother." The film
described by the Hollywood Reporter is based on an animated
comedy series created, written and produced by John Ridley on
Urban Entertainment's Web site, www.urbanentertainment.com.
Ridley wrote the script and is executive producing the project,
which follows a man (Eddie Griffin) who, though he appears
harmless, secretly works for the all-black brotherhood in its
never-ending battle against the white Establishment.

'HALLOWEEN 8' DIRECTOR
The official Halloween site (http://www.halloweenmovies.com)
reports that Director Whitney Ransick who was previously reported
as helming "Halloween 8," is no longer involved in the film and
director Rick Rosenthal is being considered as a replacement. In
addition, the site says that Tyra Banks is being considered for a
role.

SCHWARZENEGGER PUTS GOVERNOR RUN TO REST..OR DOES HE?
The Hollyweird Report tells us that Arnold "will be back"?
No, he won't! Well, maybe he will. A spokesperson for Arnold
Schwarzenegger confirmed rumors that he would not be running
for Governor in California saying that "while [Arnold's] most
interested in politics...and believes that being a public
servant would be a great honor in a country which has given him
such great opportunities, he has commitments which will take him
through 2004." About an hour later, Arnold's spokesperson amended
the announcement saying that Arnold's "absolutely not made up his
mind. Yes, he does have commitments, so yes there would be
considerable obstacles should he decide to run for public office.
But he said he would be sorting things out over the course of the
next several months and will come to a conclusion then about
whether he will or will not run. As far as [Arnold's] concerned,
the door is not closed."

JACK TRIPPER EXPOSED
This was just to whacky to pass up. It seems a viewer watching an
old rerun on Nick at Night of "Three's Company" spotted something
that no one's noticed in the thousand or so times the classic
'70s sitcom's been shown on TV -- Jack's privates! Jack (John
Ritter) was dressed in blue boxers and plopped down on the bed
[and] exposed some things that probably shouldn't be seen on
television," the unidentified viewer tells MSNBC. The viewer then
says he notified the cable network. "They were shocked and said,
'Gosh, you were right.' They were taken off-guard because this
has probably aired hundreds of times since the '80s." "Yes, his
scrotum falls out of his shorts," confirms a spokesman for
Nickelodeon. The rep adds that it's a wonder no one saw the
blooper in the first place. Nick says it will neuter the rogue
Jack in future broadcasts.

NAPSTER SENT A LIST OF SONGS
The trade group representing major record labels has sent a list
of 135,000 songs to Napster that the company must block from
being swapped over its wildly popular Internet service by
Wednesday.

LOREN HOLLY WEDS
The Toronto Sun reports that Actress Lauren Holly has wed a
Canadian-born investment banker, her third husband. Holly, the
ex-wife of comedian Jim Carrey, married Toronto native Francis
Greco during a ceremony on Saturday at Toronto's Holy Rosary
Church.
