ANOTHER SEASON OF 'TEMPTATION ISLAND"?
Apparently the jury at FOX television is still out. Fox
Entertainment President Gail Berman had this to say, "We are
considering a second 'Temptation Island' seriously. We are
waiting to see the numbers for Wednesday night, and a final
decision will be made." [Note from Bob: I caught most of the show
tonight. For those of you who watch it and might have missed it,
I believe all the couples stayed together.]
CBS PAYS BIG TO KEEP 'RAYMOND'
CBS has shelled out $140 million-plus to ensure "Everyone Loves
Raymond" stays on the Network for at least two more seasons. The
deal keeps the hit comedy, starring Ray Romano, on through the
2002-03 season. CBS will pay just under $3 million an episode for
48 episodes of the Monday night hit sitcom.
FINAL EPISODE OF 'MOLE' AIRS
I caught most of this one too, but I haven't really followed it
from the beginning. "Survivor" is still top of my list for
"reality" TV shows. Anyhow, if you missed tonight's final episode
of "The Mole" Stephen Cowles, the undercover police officer from
Boulder, Colorado won the $510,000. Kathryn Price, the
28-year-old law school lecturer from Chicago, turned out to be
"the mole."
HARRELSON ON 'WILL & GRACE'
Woody Harrelson actor has signed to do four episodes of NBCs
"Will & Grace." Harrelson will be playing the new boyfriend of
Grace and will air during the May sweep.

The Mexican (Rated R)
Starring: Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts
Release Date: March 2, 2001
Review by Susan Granger
SSG Syndicate
http://www.susangranger.com
Not only is vibrant Julia Roberts America's Sweetheart but she's
also this year's Golden Globe winner with a lock on the Best
Actress Oscar for "Erin Brockovich." Brad Pitt's been voted
People magazine's "Sexiest Man in the World." They possess two
of the screen's most photogenic faces, so teaming them, along
with "The Sopranos" Joe Gandolfini, was a stroke of marketing
genius. Based on a fateful screenplay by J.H. Wyman, directed by
Gore Verbinski ("Mouse Hunt"), the story follows a reluctant
bagman (Pitt) who is sent to Mexico to retrieve a legendary
pistol, known as The Mexican. Supposedly, it was crafted as a
wedding present for a nobleman if he'd marry the gunsmith's
daughter who, in turn, loved her father's apprentice who rigged
the gun to misfire if it fell into the wrong hands. He figures
this errand should end his indentured servitude to an underworld
crime boss for past misdeeds.
While Pitt, a lovable dork, has a serious problem with moving
vehicles, he's got even more of a problem with his group
therapy-addicted girl-friend (Roberts) who spouts psycho-babble
and demands that he join her in Las Vegas. ("When do you get to
that point if enough is enough?" she muses.) Finding the cursed
pistol is easy but getting it back is complicated, particularly
when she's taken hostage by a hitman (Gandolfini). This divergent
plot is important because the stars actually have few scenes
together - which is a mistake. Both exude charm and handle the
comedy well but the pacing is uneven and the pairing
unsatisfying. The soundtrack's fun, particularly Nancy Sinatra's
"These Boots Were Made for Walkin'".
On the Granger Movie Gauge of 1 to 10, "The Mexican" is a
visually stylish 7. It's a quirky caper movie about destiny.

6. CELEBRITY PROFILE
==========
BRAD PITT
================================================
Brad was born William Bradley Pitt on December 18, 1963 in
Shawnee, Oklahoma and raised in Springfield, Missouri. Brad was
the oldest of three children in his family. His mother was a
school counsellor and his father worked in management at a
trucking firm. After graduating from Kickapoo High, Pitt headed
off to the University of Missouri, where he majored in
advertising and graphic design. Just two credits shy of
graduating, Pitt packed whatever he owned in the Datsun he called
"Runaround Sue," and headed out to Hollywood to become a star.
Luckily, Pitt's days spent donning a chicken costume for El Pollo
Loco and driving strippers to bachelor parties were numbered.
With a few acting classes under his belt, he soon landed a
recurring role as the boyfriend of Priscilla Presley's daughter
on Dallas. Brad's first feature film role was as a cowboy in the
1991 "Thelma and Louise," finally catapulting Pitt into the
spotlight. Brad soon became romantically involved with Juliet
Lewis after they co-starred together in the TV movie "Too Young
To Die?" The relationship lasted three years. Brad's film career
was picking up at this point. He was soon cast in "A River Runs
Through It," and then a huge starring role alongside Tom Cruise
in "Interview With the Vampire." With Brad's popularity rising
like wildfire, he was soon named 'Sexiest Man Alive' by People
Magazine. While Brad was on the scene of his next hit 'Seven' he
fell for his co-star Gwyneth Paltrow. Thier romance lasted
two-and-a-half years, the last seven months of which they were
engaged to be married.
Pitt scored his first critical acclaim, not to mention his first
Oscar nomination, in the role of a mental patient in Terry
Gilliam's "12 Monkeys." Things continued to look up for Brad,
starring as a charismatic I.R.A. terrorist in 1997's "The Devil's
Own," and "Seven Years in Tibet," a performance many have
credited as the best of his career. Brad has gone on to command
in the neighborhood of $10 million per film and just recently wed
Friends star Jennifer Aniston in July 2000. You can see Brad in
"The Mexican" due out on March 2nd, where he co-stars with Julia
Roberts.
