Re: [Mo Henry Fan Club] Mo is one busy schmoe!

I could be wrong, but I have always been under the assumption that one copy
of the positives is assembled by the film editor into one copy of the final
arrangement of the film. The negative cutter then cuts the negative and
assembles it to match what the film editor has done. The negative is then used
to
produce the other final copies of the film that goes out to the theaters.

It is my understanding that negative cutting is not the physical snipping of film with scissors. Rather it's the seemless alignment of a director's takes --...

Interesting... I never realized that. So is 'negative cutting' and 'splicing' one in the same? At any rate, digital 'is' pretty good, like, I have nothing...

I would be more concerned about the switch to digital when it comes to negative cutting. No film = no negatives to cut, right?...
