I too would rather be a fan of the less appreciated people like
negative cutters and grips and focus pullers. I earned a healthy
disrespect for all "important" film industry types like editors back
when I worked for a cinematographer/sociopath named Marty
Oppenheimer. The people I worked with who ranked above camera techs
(mostly directors and other cinematographers) were mostly self-
absorbed and mentally unstable.
