What do you mean? Mo is the best and I have worked on most of
the same pictures as Mo (even though Mo doesn't know it) since
_Before Sunrise_. Have you ever checked the IMDB for how *many*
pictures Mo has cut and the quality of the pictures? They are
Hollywood's best.
When Mo was working on _The Firm_, I wanted the autographs
of the Steinkamp boys (the Editors who edited that year's
Academy Award-winning best picture: _Scent of a Woman_.)
They were all p.o.'d they were not nominated even, when the
picture won Best Picture and would not have been without the
editing (which is given credit to mostly the editors, but not
necessarily the negative cutter). Check out _Gosford Park_
(which Mo didn't cut) and you will see an OBVIOUS cutting error;
yet that picture of 'never can go wrong Altman', won so many
awards.
I feel the same way about stunt people who have not ever been
recognized by the Academy, and now with CGI they are being
replaced by this, so that the only one we KNOW worked hard on
stunts is the stunt co-ordinator, but there is no recognition
for him either.
Go to the IMDB and look at how many movies AND the quality of the
movies Mo has cut - more than the most popular Hollywood actor.
To me, it is not personal preference; it is knowledge of the craft.
Hey Mo, we go back to _Before Sunrise_ and we have never even met,
so please either write me here or my email. I am a replacement
scripter, so you know there is no recognition there either! lol
