At a local Barnes & Noble I saw 5 or 6 copies of Mo's book in paperback
yesterday. Unlike some paperbacks that might add a chapter to update things,
Mo's book has absolutely nothing new. Even the cover is the same.
Maureen,
I just read your book. Thank you for being so open and honest with your life.
I'm a private person myself and i know that must have been hard to share your
story. I want you to know that you are NOT alone. I can relate to your book on
so many levels. I can't thank you enough for letting us into your life and
sharing some very private memories.
I truly believe that what does not kill us will only make us stronger. You are a
very strong and amazing woman. Yes I admit I grew up with you, I'm 45 with a a
22 year old son. I can relate to where you have been and where you are as a
woman, a mom and a wife. I think you are brave, smart, articulate and truly an
inspiration.
I hope you know just how much you have touched the lives of so many women out
there by telling us your story.
Thank you!

I was just so pleased about Maureen's dedication to Special Needs. We have four
adopted children who each have intellectual challenges. So you go for it girl,
thanks from all of us parents who love each of our children no matter what.
Hello Stan. This is a very interesting post. I too had somewhat of a crush on Maureen growing up as a kid. I am 43 now. But when I was 10 and 11 years old, she was one girl that I always wanted to meet in person. So I think quite a few guys felt the same as you at one point. That is, the ones that knew who she was and liked her. I hope she sees your post though.

Dear Maureen, Ever since the 7th grade, when you debuted on ?NBC--?Friday nights at ?8:00 EST, I've been crazy about you! I always dreamed of kissing you on the cheek or the hand and while you and I were both still single, I dreamed of a real kiss. What can I say? I was just crazy in love with you! As the years go by, the desire for a kiss wanes, because I've been married for 25 years and am crazy about my wife, Mary! However, it would be kind of fun to meet you! When I hear your name or see your lovely face, it always brings me back to the days when I was a kid dreaming of meeting you, imagining you were my girlfriend! Don't get me wrong, I liked other girls at school and church! But I liked you too! Well, I hope this is not embarassing. It's just the truth! I heard you are leaning upon God! You're doing the right thing! God is very special!
Crazy in love with my wife, Mary! (Formerly crazy in love with you), Here's hoping the best for you! (Congratulations on slimming down! Wow!) Stan Leverett--Stryker, Ohio!

I see someone has posted Mo's performance of "Typical Day" from "Texas
Lightning" on YouTube. I don't know if you're interested, but if you want, it
would be a nice change for the front page of the website, replacing the
interview with Barry and Mo. Just a thought.

My favorite Maureen moment was on Gone Country when she sang her song Being Me.
It was a beautiful song and she was the most beautiful contestant and she should
have won the whole show. I am a big fan of John Rich but the man let his skimmer
leak when he passed Maureen up on that show. So I just want to say Maureen
should keep writing and singing and needs to put out a country album because I
would buy it and so would all the others that love her and make more poeple love
her when they heard her angel voice.

Activity! Hi everyone. Just finished Maureen's book in record time. I could
hardly put it down.
I do wish she had put in an index of all her appearances.
I guess things are slow-to-dead on the Mo front. But it depresses me
to see "No Activity" here for so long. Is there anything Mo-related
someone wishes to discuss?

Wow! You are an amazing woman! Thanks for sharing all your secrets
and how you've become such a strong person. I enjoyed the book and
could relate it to my own life. A sad childhood, crazy family,
substance abuse, rollercoaster relationships.........and at the age of
39, I'm finally on the right track. I wish you all the best with your
future endeavors! Susan

I saw that 7 part interview too and it was really good.
Unfortunately, I think it was removed from YouTube.
She was so friendly and honest and had a real sincere smile.

********thanks so much Lennon for letting us know about the chat this past Monday Nov 24 on Blog Talk Radio. I was able to listen live and was got a series of questions answered that I very much wanted to pose to Maureen. I was lucky enough to not only get one question answered, but three at different times throughout the show. It was certainly great to have Maureen respond enthusiastically to subjects on which I very much wanted to hear her thoughts on.
There's an archive of the show on the Blog Talk Radio site if anyone who missed the show wants to hear it.
