PA's (Production Assistants) are the folks who get things done on a
film or video shoot. MPA is offering a boot camp on what it takes to
be a PA. For many people this becomes their first step in the film
business. I know people at Disney started as PA's and worked their way
up to department managers. One guy even ended up as an animator. Quite
a few PA's where I currently work have broken in to creative jobs in
visual effects that way.
