The October date is correct. The September date was listed at
various sites for a long time, and thus has been repeated quite a
bit. (There also used to be a site that claimed Meighan was born in
1969.)

Practically the first thing Meighan ever told me was "Your site is
fantastic...but you have my birthday wrong." I made the correction
at the same time the site became Meighan's official web page.

Unfortunately many other sites out there still have the incorrect
listing.
