Hi Producers and Crew Members,
Some of you, like Henrietta Burroughs, have been excerpting some
segments from your full length talk shows and publishing those
excerpts on places like YouTube and Blip.TV. Short excerpts with a
specific description of the content, tend to get a lot more views
than a full half-hour talk program online. Perhaps the producers who
are already putting excerpts online could share some feedback with
the rest of us about the number of views they are getting etc.
I'm wondering if there are other producers who would like to have
the Media Center provide a class on how to use editing software to
pull out an excerpt and then publish that excerpt online? If so,
just respond here on the listserv and I'll see if we have a "critical
mass."
Also, once you do publish anything online, the Media Center is happy
to create a link to it from our own web site. Just send Elliot the
URL where your media lives online with a short description.
Lastly, when you post online, remember to add a tag called
"MCmediacenter" so anybody who wants to search for shows produced at
our Media Center can come up with your program too.
