Producers
Once again it it time to get your programs in for the 2007 Hometown video
awards. If you
don't know the Hometown awards are the National awards for the Alliance for
Community
Media. The Awards honors and promotes community media and local cable programs.
All programs submitted must have had their first cablecast on a local cable
access channel
on or between Jan.1, 2006 & December 31, 2006. For a list of categories stop by
the
media center for a copy of the entry form or go to the Alliance website at
www.alliancecm.org.
the Entry fee is $40 if you are a member. The membership fee is $35.00 if you
wold like to
join. If you are not a member and don't want to join, you can bring your entry
to the Media
Center by Mar. 23, and we will send the entry in for you, under the banner of
our
Organizational membership. However the entry fee will still be a $40 cost to
you. The
entry fee for non-members who are not associated with an organization is $70.00.
All
entries must be received by the Alliance by March 28, 2007. The awards and
National
Conference will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, July 25-28, 2007. If you
decide to send
in you entry yourself, please let me know. We like to keep track of how many
entries we
have from the media center.

Crew Members
If you have worked on a show that you thought was pretty good, please encourage
the
producer to enter. This includes both studio productions and field productions.
