For those of you who like nostalgia trips back in
time to recent events, I've placed a selection of
photos I took at the recent Holiday Party (aka
'Producers Showcase') on a sub-page of my
web site at the following URL:
The site was generated by one of PhotoShop's
Web Gallery options and requires Flash - I chose
this because it gives a nice presentation and
even implements an automatic slideshow if you
click the unfortunately unlabeled, and somewhat
hard to see triangular 'play' button on the lower-right.
However, I'm open to comments on this, and if
enough people want a non-Flash alternative I'll
make it avaialable. Also, I'm responsible for
picture selection - I tried to be tasteful, leaving
out a little bit of end-of-party shenanigans
while preserving the spirit of our volunteers, but
again any comments/complaints should be sent
directly to me, not to the Media Center.
Also, since the lighting was aimed at providing a
holiday spirit, rather than an optimum for
photography, and my aim while taking them was
to minimize the use of flash (the on-camera kind,
as opposed to the browser kind), some of them
have been PhotoShopped, often heavily, to make
people more visible, sometimes at the expense
of realism.
Well, enough explanation. If you're interested
in jpeg's, drop me an email. Hope you enjoy
the slide show.
