Saw an illustration of a bearded Snape in one of the books but don`t
remember it being in writing that he had one.

The author of the books, Severus Snape has never been described in the books as
having a beard or any facial hair.

Who decided Alan Rickman didn't need,(or shouldn't have), a beard as
Snape? Alan proved how well a beard suited him in Die Hard and Robin
Hood. The other characters from the book are so well portrayed in the
movies; With the exception, (in my opinion), of Dumbledore. Call me a
stickler for details, but when the man looks that good in a beard and
the character was written with a beard: THE MAN SHOULD HAVE A BEARD!!
LOL.

You know I just don't understand the Christians who read Harry Potter,
or write fanfic or whatever. Then if the litttlest thing sticks in
their craw they are so out of it. "Lord of the Rings" is written by an
author who is talking about heaven etc. But do you remember the scene
with the Ring Wraithes? ANY kid would have night mares seeing that,
and thousands of Christians took their kids to see it. I've never seen
anything remotely as nightmareish as that in a "Harry Potter" movie.
O.K., but the Basilalisk was just a big snake(Oh the symbolisum
there!) I wish they'd just get over it. "The Wizard of Oz" was
supposed to corrupt all our children, and also Elvis and the Beatles.
Gee, I think society is doing just fine don't you? Get over it
Christians, and learn to live in the real intelligent world for a
while. You might actually learn something!!

hi y'all!
so the slytherins_severus_snape yahoo group was shut down due to
dumbledore being outed by jk rowling and the group owner being a
christian who didn't mind the witchcraft but really looked down on
dumbledore being gay, deciding to take it out on snape fans.
she won't budge, thinking that the whole harry potter series is now a
recruitment and perversion tool from rowling to young and easily
brainwashed readers, so i went and started a new group.
severus snape's slytherins is a yahoo group, and i welcome any and
all snape fans to join. there will be no bashing or judging based on
anything other than open hostility in posts.
all i want to do is discuss harry potter, severus snape, alan rickman
(who is marvelous as ss), and anything even remotely related to the
character. i would like to welcome fanfic, art, and whatnot.
i simply want to provide an open, fun environment for all to discuss
my favorite harry potter character, and the marvelous actor who
brings him to life.
thanks!
