From the Hollywood Reporter:

Madchen Amick has been tapped for a major recurring role next season
on NBC's veteran medical drama "ER." In 10 episodes, Amick will play
a social worker and a love interest for series star Noah Wyle. "ER,"
from Warner Bros. TV, is returning in the fall for its 11th season.
The show, which won a best drama series Emmy in 1996, is overseen by
executive producer John Wells. Amick most recently starred opposite
John Stamos in the untitled John Stamos comedy pilot for ABC. Her
series credits also include ABC's "Twin Peaks" and the WB
Network's "Gilmore Girls."

And from Variety:

As for Amick, the actress is slated for at least 10 episodes on "ER"
as a social worker at the hospital who falls for Wyle's character,
Dr. John Carter.

Amick most recently starred in ABC's untitled John Stamos pilot; she
left that project as it was retooled. Thesp was a cast member
on "Twin Peaks," the late '90s "Fantasy Island" remake and "Central
Park West." Her other credits include stints on "Gilmore Girls"
and "Ed."

Amick will next be seen in the indie feature "Four Corners of
Suburbia."
