This group focuses on the following activities:

Recover defrauded wages from production, casting/calling "service" companies and SAG.

Legal and reform measures to curb rampant bribery/shakedown(labor
racketeering) schemes by production/casting companies/organized crime
against employees.

Promote equal opportunities for actors by curbing
widespread nepotism/job stealing in the media industry by entrenched,
self perpetuating groups resulting in poor Film/TV quality.

Encourage capital flows to independent producers/artists and discourage Film/TV industry concentration and the negative impact that has
on the expression of ideas.

Support democratic control of SAG and other industry unions
against domination/corruption by the large Studios.

Organizing a class action suit by actors to recover $ from the production companies and SAG.

Produce an independent feature film based on actors taking on corruption in the industry, e.g. an "On the Waterfront", "Serpico" type of film. Any writers, coproducers interested email moderator at maaporg@yahoo.com.
