Hi, Mel Fans!

   Just thought I'd let you know that my Melanie Lynskey website is
coming close to completion. It should be ready within the next few
days, and that is a promise that I intend to keep. I've contacted
the webmaster of Beautiful Brittany in order to obtain two pics of
Mel with Brittany Murphy at the 2004 Ms Magazine Women Of The Year
Awards. I hope to be hearing from him tomorrow. If not, I will have
to work towards the launch 'Loving Lynskey' and try to obtain the
pics at a later date, in the hope that I can edit the site, after it
has been launched. When it is finished, I will be posting the URL
here.

    I'm sorry to have report that none of the British celebrity and
film magazines have any features on, interviews with, or articles
about Melanie Lynskey. Do not worry, though, I will be sending
letters to Hello, OK, In Style(British edition) and Heat. There's no
way I am giving up until these magazines recognise her as a major
film star in the making. If they can feature a zero talent, such as
Jade Goody, then they ought to feature Melanie Lynskey. Jade's only
been a celeb for a year-and-a-half, but Mel, who actually has
talent, still remains uknown in this country. Things have to change
and I am going to make sure they do.

Hi, Mel Fans!

   Well, ten years have passed since 'Heavenly Creatures' was first
released. In that time, both Peter Jackson and Kate Winslet have
become household names in the USA, in the UK and around the globe.
That just leaves Melanie Lynskey. She is slightly well-known in
America and in her home country, New Zealand, but that's about it.
Superstardom is something that I want to see her achieve, in spite
of a handful of her fans maintaining that she is happy where she is.
To that I have repeatedly said that she only feels that way because
she has never experienced anything close to the kind of breakthrough
that Kate Winslet got. 2005 has to be the year when Melanie Lynskey
finally gets properly recognised. I have waited ten years for it to
happen, I sincerely hope that I don't have to wait another decade
for Melanie to get that role that leads her to the A-List of Young
Hollywood actresses.

Daniel,

    Thanks for that. You said you have other films starring Mel. Do
you have the 'Heavenly Creatures' DVD? I have created a gallery
containing sub-galleries for screen captures for this movie, but
Buena Vista keep changing the release date for it on DVD, so I still
haven't got a copy of it. If you do have one yourself, I would be oh
so grateful if you can make screencaps of this film.

the moment, four sub-galleries, so that you can add screencaps of

hi everybody-

it's great to have an active mel site.  i just finished watching
serial slayer so i thought i would give some thoughts.  it's not a
bad movie overall but it could have used more body to the story.
mels role was good but not one of her best.  considering that they
shot this film in nine days, it turned out pretty good.  i ordered
my copy from amazon.com before the release date and it arrived
today.  keep that in mind for future purchases.

   Unfortunately, I cannot help you there. I am still waiting to
see 'Two-And-A-Half Men' make its terrestrial TV debut on Channel
Five. Anything that finally ends Lynskey's ten year absence from
British celebrity magazines and TV talk shows is welcome, no matter
how much or how little screen time she does have on the hit US
comedy show. One can only hope that by the third season, she is
finally recognised as a major Young Hollywood starlet-in-the-making
and that the offers for lead roles in big projects at long last
start to come in.

Website update.

   I've set up a website for Emily Deschanel, but it is called Emily
Deschanel Online, not Everything Emily, as I originally said. The
creation of the website for Melanie Lynskey is probably not going to
happen for some time. I am waiting for 'Heavenly Creatures' to come
out on DVD, but if I don't hear any news about it by the 20th of
December, I will be contacting Ruth, the webmistress of Discover
Kate, to ask her permission to copy the 'HC' screencaps she has in
the movies section of the site's gallery. Also, I might decide to
set up a website on the Fan-Sites.org fanhosting network, as I would
like the ML site to be really stylish looking. I'll keep you all
posted on this matter.
