Welcome.....
This list is dedicated to the exchange of information about the Great Bela Lugosi. Our goals are to provide a forum for aficionados to exchange information about Our Hero, to plan for activities in conjunction with the Monster Bash near Pittsburgh, Pa. each year - see the Monster Bash website at
Creepy Classics, to raise funds for the preservation of Bela Lugosi films in need of restoration, and eventually to sponsor the establishment of a Bela Lugosi Museum and Film Archive.
Members discuss collecting Lugosi memorabilia, photos,
figurines, books, magazines, records, and films, as well as upcoming events, such as cinema conventions. Our members include many esteemed authors, cinema historians and people who knew Lugosi during his lifetime.
May, 2012 - The pic illustrates the proposed images on the upcoming DVD, El Dracula de Hollywood , now being produced by one of our list mentors, Richard Sheffield. It is the Spanish version of the illustrious DVD, Hollywood's Dracula . Senor "El Conde" Sheffield writes: "The narration that Robert Clarke(RIP) did on the original disk is substituted by Germán Robles and the interviews have subtitles. I couldn't find a good photo of the case. We only have one unfinished sample assembled. I'll get a photo of the case to you as soon as we have a finished sample. It is simple in the shape of a classic coffin with Bela's name and his birthand death dates and a bat. It's made of wood and lined in red cloth."
