Dear Dick,
So, so sorry to have missed your show - between the turkey hangover and yet another high school playoff game concession duty, these old bones were in absolutely no shape to go anywhere but home after the game on Friday night (my son is in the marching band at Monticello High School). I hope you had a great turnout. I won't miss next time - and there better BE a next time. One more game to go before our boys head to the state playoffs...
Yours, Gayle

Hey all,
There's been so much spam on this LS lately that I hope anyone still
reads it. We have what for us, at least, is a very special weekend
coming
up: Five of the six Charlottesville Allstars from our definitive
period, playing in our favorite places with our old friends the
Nighthawks, without whose help we might never have had a "definitive
period."
The lineup: Steve Bliley, guitar; me, guitar and voice; Paul
Hammond, drums and voice, Doug Jay, harmonica and voice; Steve Riggs,
bass. Regrettably, Lucile Ford (voice) can't be pried loose from
beach house construction in Kenya. Damn. Maybe next time.
The venues:
Friday, Nov. 23, the Satellite Ballroom,
http://www.satelliteballroom. 1435 Universitycom/directions. html,
Ave, Charlottesville, Va., 22903, (434) 293-7005
Saturday, Nov. 24, the State Theater,
http://www.thestatetheatre.com/ 220 N. Washington Falls Church, Va.,,
22046-4517
(703) 237-0300
Showtime is 9:00 PM both nights. What better way to work off turkey
and ditch the relatives? Hope to see you there.
Richard Green
