Hahaha, I would never forget the awesome people who supported me
during the struggling years! I hope people love the film. I don't know
what they used from the original show. Everything was HUSH HUSH! I
barely got the pages with my dialogue on them.
And please go support Steve's new movie (so Get Smart will open big!)
Evan Almighty is actually really cute and great for the fam. Even big
kids will like it!
Thanks :)

Hey Everyone!
Just got back last week from Montreal where I was filming Get Smart, the big
screen
adaptation of the TV series starring Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway. It was
AMAZING, I had
such a good time! The scene is going to be hilarous! The director and all the
producers were
extremely excited about how it turned out. I think it will be a dance scene that
goes down in
history! Oh and Steve is a great guy, very serious about his work! Annie is a
BLAST, so funny
and down to earth. Just a FABULOUS person who happens to be a mega-star!
Sucks we have to wait a year to see the movie, but I posted two photos till
then! Check them
out in the photo section :)

Hi Everyone!
Thanks to Jowy our fab moderator for cleaning up the spam and blocking those who
were
doing it.
News is I will be filming a great role, though be it kinda small, in the new
Steve Carell film,
Get Smart. Warner Bros. is doing the big screen adaptation of the TV show with
an all-star
cast (Anne Hathaway, Alan Arkin, Terrance Stamp, The Rock). I will be working
with Mr. Carell
himself in a sure to be memorable scene! I'm very excited with a week of
rehearsal coming up
and then a week of filming in Montreal.
Last month I also finished filming a lead role in an indie film. We are hoping
to make the
festival rounds next year!
Thanks again to those members who still check up on this group, I will try to be
better about
posting! Please feel free to jump in here as well, I think I hear those crickets
chirping again...
Much Love,
Lindsay
Hello all :)
Wanted to let everyone know that my episode of Scrubs (My Boss's Free Haircut)
will reair for
the first time on December 11th at 11am on Comedy Central. But you should check
your local
listings.
Scrubs Season 4 which also has my episode is out on DVD for all you fans.
I hope everyone is well and enjoying the Holiday season!
Much Love,
Lindsay
PS- in reference to the last post, well said Kenneth! I totally agree :)
to be truthful, fat does not make you ugly, ugly makes you ugly.
there are a lot of fat people that are cute or sexy because they are
not ugly. you can have the best body in the world be in shape and
everything but if you are ugly no amount of muscle or breast can help you.

Okay, I'm totally moving to Canada!! I've received a few other amazing letters
out of
Canada like this, so I'm convinced your Mother's know how to raise y'all up
there! Thank
you so much for your post. It really, really made my day! I am so used to living
in a world
where I am not considered beautiful. Where, in fact, I am actually considered
quite ugly
because of my size, so to hear that there are people out there that think
otherwise is quite
uplifting to my spirit. I do quite often get cast as the fat character. I've

Lindsay
Hey lindsay. After watching you on boston public, which was the whole
reason I started watching that show, I feel that someone needs to stop
being shy and just come out and tell you you`re gorgeous. So, I
figured I`d do it. I know you have a boyfriend as far as I know, and
I`m not looking for dates, althooough, haha, kidding. Really though,
the fact that you seem to always be cast as the fat character just
proves that you`re not interested in other people`s stereotypical
views on what is attractive. I know you went to the NAAFA thing, and
I`d love to go to one, as I`m fat myself, but until the NAAFA becomes
the new government and everyone gets fat, you should know that there
are a ton of people that think you`re gorgeous. So, sorry if I don`t
really have much of a question for you, just thought I`d tell you that
you light up the screen, and how gorgeous you are.
P.S. I`m not one of those creepy old men on the net, haha, I`m 18 and
I live in Canada.
This is a great episode, but be warned -- as wonderful as Lindsay (or
should I say, Agnes!) is, it is one of the saddest episodes that show
has had. Lindsay's "speech" at the end is a depressing moment for
anyone who's ever been an outcast (like me!).

Hi Everyone!
The thing I hear most from everyone who writes is how they think I should be on
a show
as a series regular. I so agree! I mean that is one of my biggest goals and let
me just tell
you how difficult that can be! This pilot season has blown in like a whimper for
the young,
character types. The pickin's are VERY slim so I was really excited to audition
for ONE last
week. I know the Producers from a Showtime show I had done a few years back. The
part
was perfect for me. They wanted to test me! That means bring me to the studio
suits and
network suits to audition. Then if those lovely people want me, I get a series
regular gig!
We waited a whole week for my deal to come through. Then last night I got the
call that
they did not have enough money in the budget to make this role a series regular.
So, they
were knocking it down to a Guest Star for the episode. I still have a shot at
it. I have to go
in for a "chemistry test" this afternoon with the guy who has already been cast
as one of
the leads. But the disappointment of not being able to go after a series regular
role is with
me right now. This is the second time in my career this has happened. They do
not value
character roles in Television. They are always the first to get cut or knocked
down. I wish I
knew how to get a toe in the door in order to start changing this. It's
extremely frustrating
and I feel like I'm always hitting my head against a wall when it comes to this
process.
I decided to post so y'all could see a part of the process. A little bit of all
the turmoil that
is constantly happening beneath the surface. I also went in for a different
pilot yesterday.
It's for a recurring Guest Star. I ask everyone to send some good thoughts my
way. Instead
of wallowing in my own self pity, I've decided to rally! I just say "it's going
to happen, it's
going to happen". In some way, that feels better than "life sucks, life sucks".
LOL!
Here is to hoping something pulls through this season. Odds say it will not
happen. That's
why most actors are superstitious and NEVER tell anyone about the stuff they are
up for. I
know why. It kills you to say, "I didn't get it". But this time I'm letting
y'all know so send
out some good energy for me into the universe, if you will :)
Lindsay
I wanted to say thanks to Jowy for the nice new pics on the main page, awesome!
Also,
thanks to those who've been responding and posting. It's fun having a discussion
in here...at
least for me anyway! I'm in the middle of a move (sucks!) so I'm off for
now....keep those
questions coming if you have them :)
Lindsay
I can't pick one favorite. I liked them all, because they are all so close to my
life. Nanette and Laurie come to mind right away though, mainly because I cried
after those two.
I do remember that I first got your name after your episode of Popular, though
that is not by any means my favorite character. I loved that show (and Tammy is
from my hometown and went to my HS, which is a big deal when you live in the
middle of nowhere :-D).

Hi and thanks for another great question :)
Yes, I was teased all through school. I think Jr. High was just about the height
of terror for
a fat girl. I'm still not sure how I made it through those years! When I was
cast in my first
play as a sophmore in high school, a lot changed. It was a comedy and I made the
students laugh. This gave them a reason to have a little respect for me. So, I
would say
that the character of Christine Banks in Boston Public would most resemble my
life. For
those that didn't watch the show, I played an overweight girl who starts beating
up kids in
school for teasing her. The wrestling coach helps her focus this strength in the
wrestling
ring. She goes on to be very successful at this and stand up against those who
call her
names. Most kids either become introverted or defensive when they are labeled as
outcasts for their size, looks, etc. I was sassy! I would always run my mouth
and defend
myself with sarcasm. I've never let anyone get away with insulting me. I just
don't believe
in that.
Most favorite role would have to be Christine Banks because I was able to play
her for four
episodes and it was my first job in this town. I have such great memories of
that set and
cast. I still remember the way the sound stage smelled when I first walked in. A
close
second would be Nanette Babcock. I loved playing her from sweet and hopeful to
desperate and crazy!
Least fav role would have to be Margie in Strong Medicine. I just didn't do a
good job with
her.
A question for the group: What is your favorite character ?
Love,
L.
I've been big my whole life and I tell you what, I can
SO identify with Lindsay's character Agnes on the
episode of Law & Order: SVU. If I were a student in
school nowadays, I think I would have pulled a
Columbine on the kids that picked on me in highschool.
I regret not getting into acting in highschool and
drama classes, but because the kids all teased me
about how big I was, I really wasn't as outgoing as I
am now. That's why I'm hoping to get into acting and
hope to be half as successful as Lindsay. Hollywood
and NY needs more of us big beautiful women.
