In case you haven't heard, MTV is considering a made-for-tv remake of
RHPS, which is almost certainly a bad idea (I can imagine a good
remake, but the terms "MTV" and "made for tv" pretty much guarantee it
will suck). Anyway there's a petition....

Yeah, I will be glad to sign this. How horrible!!! I had heard that a
remake had been planned years ago where Frank was a plastic surgeon. Is
this the same one?

I was trying to remain neutral about the whole remake idea until I
read that Richard O'Brien is not giving his blessing.

Depending on where in NC you are, you may also have some other
options. There are shows in VA and SC that aren't too far from some
parts of NC.

If you want to give us some condoms we can certainly throw them in the
next batch of kits. Just come down to the front tonight and talk to us

*Ok Rocky fans, This Is It!*

We are making our stand. Over 15,000 of you have signed the petition and
there are at least 900 friends of our MySpace site. It's time for MTV to
hear the voice of the fans. This Saturday is September 27th, the 33rd
anniversary of the original Rocky Horror Picture Show that we have all come
to know and love. Countless fans will be going out to midnight shows. *What
we at the site want to do is get videos of you and all the RHPS fans you can
gather to do the "Time Warp" on that day at Midnight* at your local showing,
or in some public space (please don't break any laws) ... or hell even
outside MTV studios if you want to.

In case you're wondering:
MTV Studios
1515 Broadway
New York, NY 10036

*We will post your video and your pictures on our website and on the Myspace
page.* Hold up a sign for stoptheremake.com or just one telling MTV to leave
Rocky alone. Be creative. Together we can stop this travesty!!! Viva La
Rocky!!! Save The Lips!!!

You seem to have used the words "creative" and "mtv" together. My
brain has suffered a meltdown trying to combine the two concepts.

I think there is plenty of room for a fresh interpretation. I've
really liked most of the stage productions I've seen. However, we're
talking about MTV. It is probably going to suck. And they are probably
going to play it over and over again despite the fact that it sucks.
I'm open-minded, but c'mon... MTV?

If it were anyone else, if they'd perhaps gotten the blessing of
Richard O'Brien (not that I'm holding his taste as a gold standard,
but it's pertinent and I'd trust him over mtv at least), then maybe.

I hope that everyone here that is eligible has registered to vote. If
not, you have a few days (those if you living in NC at least).
Following is some (somewhat triangle-centric) registry information.

The deadline to register to vote in North Carolina is Friday, October
10. I have attached a NC voter registration form. If you need to
register, this form should be printed and mailed to your local county
board of elections postmarked by the 10th. I have included the
addresses for Wake, Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Johnston, and Orange
counties below.

If you are not sure whether you are registered or you have forgotten
your polling place, you can check at

Hi!

My name is Edna (really) and I am writing a paper on "Fans of the Rocky Horror
Picture Show" for my senior project in college. I would love to know any and all
Rocky Horror stories any cast members or regular fans would like to share,
because I want to accurately represent Rocky fans.  So I would love it if you
could share these questions or this link with anyone affiliated with the show:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=Mf20PY_2bfmp2NbnWPvRzuRA_3d_3d

The questions on the survey are almost the same as the ones below, so whatever
is easiest for you is fine with me.

I'd love to know things like:

How you came to the show in the first place and what happened

What drew you back?

What is your favorite thing about going to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show?

How long have you been going/how many times have you seen it?

What made you join the cast?

How your cast initiates "virgins"

How you were initiated (if different from above)

Have you ever brought a friend?  If so, what did they say about it?  Did they
keep coming back?

Have you ever seen Shock Treatment?  If so, what did you think about it?

What rules your cast has for the audience i.e. stay out of the aisles unless
invited..

What do you do for a day job/living?  (i.e. brain surgeon, fry cook, student,
etc..)

If you suddenly had an extra $1000.00 what would you do with it?

If you had one wish....

The best callback anyone's ever yelled at the screen.

Do you smoke?  If so, What?  -Don’t worry, I am NOT a narc or anything like one.

Tell me about your best day ever

Your favorite memory (doesn’t have to be Rocky related, but it can)

Any other cool or hot things you'd like to see in a college paper.  Risqué
subject matter is perfectly acceptable.

its best to come early, around 11:30 so you can grab a good place in line.?
Generally, its a lot of regulars that come so they hang around and mingle a lot
with the others, so its not too difficult to grab a good spot. However, for the
Christmas show, you might even want to show up earlier, just in case.?

its best to come early, around 11:30 so you can grab a good place in line.?
Generally, its a lot of regulars that come so they hang around and mingle a lot
with the others, so its not too difficult to grab a good spot. However, for the
Christmas show, you might even want to show up earlier, just in case.?
