That "other" club is utter madness now...this one
is still in its establishing phase but at least you
can read all of the new messages in one sitting for
crying out loud, so welcome.

My roommate wants to

one it is? Somebody said it was the same that
benderez did mask of zorro, which i haven't seen

what my roommate speaks and i respond in spanish...my

Caroline,

I too find it strange that
Angelina would continue to do something that seems to make
her unhappy(Despite the fact that I haven't read the
interview)....I find that somewhat bizarre, as she gives off the
impression that she won't.."Put up with any shit",
Would
love to have a read, so if you could forward on a URL,
or send me a copy...would be most
appreciated..
LOVE IS ALL THERE IS,
Is there a more bizarre
flick?
The accent, just tops it off beautifully, Not a movie
I would have thought she'd star in, but we got to
see a different side of her very diverse style of
acting...This is probably one the funniest movies I have ever
seen....and to anyone who hasn't...Go see it, while it is not
the typical role we are used to seeing Angelina
in.....

Does anyone know where I can get myself a copy of
GIA...the uncut version, Cyborb2, And what can I say a copy
of Girl Interrupted would be a
gift!

Thanks.....Great Club!!......Chrissy

Foxfire was the first Angelina movie that I ever
saw, and I think it's worth renting just for the
tattoo scene. ;) Those of you who have seen it know what
I'm talking about. Overall the movie is kinda
far-fetched, but the tattoo scene is one of the most best
portrayals of the emotional connection between women that
I've ever seen. I reallllly liked this movie.

<<Here's a question: in esquire mag angie
said that she didn't like posing in the langerie,
bras, etc and was crying because she felt like a whore.
Why do you think she'd do that then?
>>

I think it sucks that she had to do it if she
didn't want to...but a friend of mine works for a
fashion magazine, and she said that basically the
models/celebrities that they shoot basically have no say in what
they get to wear. :/ The photographers have a
"concept" in mind before the subject even gets there, so
maybe that's why she did it. I just can't believe they
used the pictures of her crying...I was really sad
when I heard how upset she was about having to wear
that outfit. I wonder if she gave them permission to
use those photos, or if they just printed them? I'd
be interested in finding that out.

Mis

Yeah that's what I posted in the other club (im a
traitor) she really does care how people view her and she
is really lonely it seems but doesn't really know
how to break out of that superhuman shell and
actually have normal relationships with people. She gives
them what she thinks they want and then isn't true to
herself which just kind of leaves her empty in the
end.........
Loved GI, loved it loved it loved it
Maybe one day,
I'll be able to act in a movie with such a connection
with the audience
She is a gift
meant to be
treasured
But in her celestiality I think she loses some of
herself
No one to hold her at night
No one to call and
invite shopping
It's pretty lonely I bet

elysianfielder: You making a bootleg makes me a
tad nervous. I'm scared it's more complicated and
dangerous than how I explained it. I think they put the
camcorders in bags or something and sit in back. But that
would be cool. About the HBO thing, when I get it, I
will for sure send you a copy; however, my brother
lives in a different city and even if he sent it to me,
i don't have two vcr's availible to dub it.--I'm
too big of a loser to know anyone else w/ HBO his was
my only option. So...I'll try to somehow figure
something out because yeah, I want everyone to have it if
it's good.
So did anyone catch the Days of Our
Lives playing on the tv in Girl, Interrupted. They dug
into the archives for those clips from the 60s -- how
funny! What's even funnier is how the lady on the screen
is still in the show today! Ha!

Here's a
question: in esquire mag angie said that she didn't like
posing in the langerie, bras, etc and was crying because
she felt like a whore. Why do you think she'd do that
then? TO make people happy? I just find it weird, for
someone who likes to speak her mind, she seems sort of
passive in that sense? What do you guys

I put fuck as my subject to see if there are any

so i was on another club, being a traitor to my own,
and there's this supposed AJ person that either is or
isn't her. jellybeanaj -- and I think, in fact I know,
that the person is lying, which is what I used to do
with Dawson's Creek...like when I was 6. And no
offense to that person, but wouldn't AJ come here first
before that one? I'd think so, just because we're so
much cooler.
So has anyone seen the HBO 15 minute
thing on GI? My bro taped it for me.
I read
somewhere that when a reporter asked AJ about the maybe
break up btwn Antonio Banderez and Melanie Griffith she
said she'd probably first sleep with Melanie and then
tell...or something like that. does anyone have any idea
what the hell i'm talking about?
caroline

Here's the thing w/ the bootleg. they're so
ghetto...just like a camcorder hidden in a theater and it's so
sucky quality. um...It really depends where you go and
it's all luck...my friend bought one w/o anything even
on it! so, maybe it'd be best to wait....except my

SO my roommate buys me a bootleg copy of G.I. off
the streets to save me the $9.50 that I've already
spent 3 times at theaters and there are like the BEST
scenes missing in the movie. The one where they go to
the Ice cream Parlor and the one where they sing
Downtown. That pissed me off,but welcome to the world of
bootleg.
If you guys saw angie on the street or something,
and she didn't know you, would you ask her if she was
okay or would that be an insult. Because, for some
reason, I don't know, I just feel bad for her, like she
thinks no one likes her, but obviously, duh, not true,
but it's not like I can say, "hey, I'll be your
friend, you have no idea who the hell I am, but trust
me..." that's just lame and stupid.
What would you
guys do?
caroline

<<I was upset about the straps thing but it
was defiantly symbolic. >>

I agree. This
was very much a piece of movie irony though, because
it wasn't in the book this way. There was a LOT of
stuff in the movie that wasn't in the book,
really...but then the book was formulated in short anecdotes
and not really a fluid story, so I understand why the
script was written as it was.

<<Lisa was
probably turned into a vegetable and never got
out>>

Actually, yes she did. ;) Susanna Kaysen talks about her
life after she gets out of the hospital at the end of
the book and describes how she ran into Lisa on the
street one day years later, and about how good she
looked...and that she had a child in tow. ;)

I highly
recommend the book...you should be able to find it in the
psych section. I think the newer version has a picture
of Winona Ryder on the cover...just like the GI
poster.

Mis

Hey all, gee I have nothing better to do the join
these fabulous AJ clubs. lol I should be
working!!

I was upset about the straps thing but it was
defiantly symbolic. The one who was the most free and left
at will...finally gets caught and tied down in the
end. It's sad to think of what they would do to a
person like that. A nasty portrayal yes but very likely
true for that time in an institution. Shock therapy
was used to cleanse everyone's demons at some point.
That is if you didn't give in to mind numbing drugs
and constant psych evaluations.

Lisa was
probably turned into a vegetable and never got out. I'm
only saying this because she seemed so determined not
to break under their watch. A will so strong must
get tired at some point...either give in or let them
blink you out. Sad thought.

Okay, so I've seen the flick three times in the
theater and have it on bootleg video but I do haev a
problem w/ it.
I didn't like how Lisa was strapped to
the bed at the end. I don't know if that was the
movie's fault or if it was the film's portrayl of the
psychiatric ward, but it wasn't fair. If anything it was
ironic -- the most free chained down. What do you guys
think?
