To all:
You may have heard by now that Elisabeth Rohm is officially
leaving the original "Law & Order" sometime next season, though it
won't be until at least the 13th episode because this was just
announced, and with an early premiere date for next season of likely
September 1 for "L & O", writing for a number of next season's
episodes probably have already been done and it would be difficult to
re-write them to accomodate a new character.
While admittievely she wasn't the first person I thought of to take
over in this case, I have in a number of "Law & Order" groups in the
past mentioned her when the ADA position has opened up in "the
franchise", and she would bring some realism to the show since she
has been a lawyer in real life and has actual trial experience in the
New York Courts. She'd also at 37 be the oldest to play the ADA on "L
& O" and I think would be an interesting choice if Creator Dick Wolf
asked her to take over the role of Assistant to Executive Assistant
District Attorney Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) on the original series.
