For anyone interested in finding comprehensive books on Kubrick,
namely featuring an array of unseen photographs of the man, I'd
recommend Christiane Kubrick's "Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures",
and especially Alison Castle's massive "The Stanley Kubrick Archives",
published by Taschen. I still haven't got the latter, it's a bit
pricey at about $200 USD, but it's a whopper with over 540 pages,
weighing some 7 kilograms.
I've seen samples of the book on Taschen's own website and it's most
impressive, as it features litterally hundreds of documents and loads
of rare stills that came straight from Kubrick's extensive personal
archives.
So, if you're looking for an extra special gift this Christmas, there
you have it!
