Kid Filmmakers, the year-round traveling filmmaking academy for
children, is seeking films from kid and adult filmmakers for its
Flying Popcorn! traveling children's film festival.

Presented by: Kid Filmmakers

Eligibility: Feature films, short films, documentaries and animations.
Films must have been completed no earlier than January 2004.
(NOTE: We do not consider films which include excessive violence,
sexual scenes or profanity.)

Entry Deadline: Films must be received by December 1, 2004. (This is
our new extended deadline, due to the date confirmation of our annual
FLYING POPCORN! International Children's Film Festival, to be held in
Newport, Rhode Island on Sunday, February 27, 2005.)

Accepted Screener Formats: VHS or DVD. Screeners must be recorded in
SP mode. Please be careful not to change speeds as you are recording.
(NOTE: Send copies, not masters. No PAL or SECAM tapes accepted. Do
not send entries in fiber-fill envelopes. The paper dust and lint are
bad for the tapes.)

Should your film be declared a semi-finalist, you will be required to
submit your film on mini-DV tape for digitizing onto our festival DVD.

Rights and Permission: Filmmakers retain all rights to ownership of
their work. (We do not allow copyrighted music without proof of
permission from the songwriter or estate.) By submitting an entry,
filmmakers give their permission to Kid Filmmakers and the Flying
Popcorn! International Children's Film Festival to feature, advertise,
display, in whole or in part, the work titled and described above. If
entry is submitted and accepted by the festival jury, filmmakers
understand that their entries may be presented with other accepted
films as a traveling film festival program, which will be made
available to international venues, beginning March 1, 2005.

Selection Process: finalists are selected by jury and announced by
February 1, 2005. Please do not call for results--winners will be
posted on the Kid Filmmakers website. Only finalists will be notified.

Prizes: engraved plaques or trophies plus box office tickets to attend
Flying Popcorn! in Newport, Rhode Island on Sunday, February 27, 2005.

Publicity: internet, print and broadcast media

Entry Fees: no fee--kids under 18 years; $45--18 years and over.
Payment may be made by U.S. check or money orders (made payable to Kid
Filmmakers) and credit card via PayPal (see instructions below). Kid
Filmmakers and the Flying Popcorn! International Film Festival cannot
assume liability for damage or loss.
