I am currently writing a book called Life After Kes and includes all
the main characters and people behind the scene.

I have just recently spoken with Freddie and I don't think all the
Hollywood nonsense means very much to him - a great credit to his
personality. It's very easy to get swamped in the media frenzy that
follows a film. I think the person who immerged from the pit shaft
to act is very much the same person that still lives in Barnsley
today. I totally respect that and cannot say with the same
advantages I would remain true to myself – which at the end of the
day is all we have.
