I'm glad you enjoyed the film. I'm from the area where Kes was filmed and,
if anything, the area is now worse off than in 1969 due to the loss of the
industries, but it's always nice to hear that people from nowhere near are
affected by it and regrad it as seminal,. By the way, as a 'Sarf Landana',
did you understand the discourse, accent and dialect in it because it's a
long way from the capital in every sense.
