this board seemed to be rather quiet, maybe it has never been alive
before. I come here now and then, because I really loved 'Kes' from
the moment I saw it first. But there is probably no place on the net
to talk about that great movie.
It's great that you have three kestrels on your own. I haven't been
engaged in birds before, but Kes caught my interest. You are from
Scotland? I am from Germany and I have been to Scotland a couple of
times for a holiday - and I really like it!
What about the film? It took me ages to understand these dialogues,
and sometimes it is still very hard, because I am no native English
speaker. I bought a little book 'The play of Kes' by Barry Hines to
understand most of the dialogues, but it is not equal to the film in
all scenes. But it's better than nothing.
