Youth Employment Officer

Just been reading the messages and I'm pleased
that people from all over the world have a love for
Gods own county of Yorkshire [Yorksha].

The guy
who played the part of the Youth Employment Oficer in
the film is Bernard Mather [who, so my mother informs
me] was in real life a teacher. He later became an
elected Counciller for Leeds City Council.

For
those of you who may be interested the Leeds born
playwright Alan Bennett wrote a series of monologues called
Talking Heads and some of these, although not specificly
having a yorkshire theme, perfectly catch
"Yorkshireness" as do his writings "Telling Tales" about his
childhood in Leeds.
