Hiya,
Just incase people think you can go out and take a wild kestrel from
a nest nowadays -1 u cant and 2 dont 3- ure a prat if u do!
falconry-the art of hunting quarry with trained birds of prey.
I've trained a kestrel, they have such small weights its
unbeliveable. They can die in 1 night in winter, and nowadays, it
will cost you around £2000 to get set up for falconry, and more if u
have the sense to get a proper falconry bird.
If you want a kestrel, just watch them in the wild or enjoy them
under well-trained an knowlagable falconers where they are healthy.
Falconry is not a blood sport - its an art, hobby, life style, u cn
even go as far as religeon. It means the world to some people. In
captivity, the give up their freedom for safety, food, clean water,
good health, trust and love, respect, happiness. And al birds do get
retired once they are over a certain age and that means they get an
aviary to breed in.
Just thought I'd say Hello!
If u know all this, then - say hello!
