I. DELPY WARNS ASPIRING ACTRESSES BEAUTY IS SKIN DEEP


French actress JULIE DELPY has urged young actresses
not to follow in the footsteps of sex symbols MARILYN
MONROE and LANA TURNER by relying on youthful glamour,
because it will ruin their careers later in life.

The BROKEN FLOWERS star fears for women who trade on
their beauty, as it means their happiness depends on
their youth.

And she is thrilled she had the wisdom to avoid
succumbing to Hollywood glamour.

Delpy says, "From early on I never wanted to build my
life on being a pretty face. And I could have at the
beginning. I was kind of a pretty girl and I could
have built it all on being a sexy slut.

"But watching the life of Marilyn Monroe, the life of
Lana Turner, it's so f**king tragic. Once their beauty
is gone, it's like their life is over. They're like
dead flowers."


II. DELPY'S COSMETIC SURGERY PHOBIA

French movie star JULIE DELPY is so appalled by the
rise in cosmetic surgery among actresses, she has
developed a phobia of it.

The BROKEN FLOWERS actress hates the idea of women
suffering to meet Hollywood ideals and admits the
"alien" look of a Botox patient makes her feel
physically ill.

The 35-year-old says, "It hurts me, you know? Even
stuff like Botox, I notice it right away.

"They have a shiny flat forehead and look like an
alien. The lips really terrify me, the upper lip that
looks like it has been hit in the face.

"It gives me anxiety, but what can I do? The other
day, I was at a party and there was a lip there and it
was hurting me so much.

"It was obviously showing that I was disgusted. I just
stared and looked kind of horrified."
