A two day grace period is underway for open registration to Yahoo
Groups hottest multicultural group: New Edge Mambo Hip Hop.

Physically located in The Bronx, NY, New Edge Theater reached its
goal of 350 members Friday in the subscription drive for its
Nuyorican flavored yahoo group.

The group includes the Theater's diversified operations including
WEPAnews, Pietri Learning Dish Program, roughrican cd/dvd
productions, LV's private chat room, PITIPINBO'S world blog,
and El Extreme's Electric Cabaret Archives at www.elextreme.info )

The main focus of the mambo hip hop group is to communicate globally
and consolidate more than 30 years of Nuyorican artistic work
compiled by both director El Extreme and company associates
collaborating with New Edge in its various incarnations since 1975.

These include The Adoracion Dance Company (75-77), Willie S. Latin
MoFo Review (78-79), Los Rumberitos (1980-82), Little Otis and the
Upsetters (1982-85), The Blankets of Doom (1985-89), La Gran
Orquesta El Extreme(1990-93), Desi Arnaz on Acid (1993), Gang Bang
Bang (1994) and now the Electric Cabaret - New Edge Theater.

The company is dedicated to exploring a fluid Nuyorican Performance
form and extending that experience into the cyber world.

New Edge brings you a Nuyorican perspective that is drawn from our
live appearances both in the US and abroad. We encourage you to be
an active participant in this exploration by making your voice
heard. New Edge is not an event posting group; though we will
highlight outside group's events as we go along who are in tune
with our goals and outlook of the BoricuaWeb Internet Coalition on
yahoo that includes Salsarican, Café Lou's, Sisters Bookstore, and
Puerto Rican Events yahoo groups.

We have screened the majority of members to exclude sex ad spammers,
mortgage pitches et al and to date have removed more than fifteen
applicants of this type to ensure the groups privacy and efficacy.
Additionally, the member list is not accessible to anyone but the
three moderators (Raimundo our products manager, Maria Hernandez the
company co-director and me.) New prospective members will have to be
qualified as of this Monday June 6th for admission via a personal
statement and review by the moderators. Referrals by existing
members, the golden 350, will go a long way in gaining new members
admission.

Not all communication between members is featured in the posted
messages portion of the company.

We have "LV's" – a private adult commercial chat room
wherein personal events and socialization is carried out. The sub-
group is manned by the forty members we carried over from our former
AOL operation who have been actively networking through us since
1999.

Additionally, there is a PITPINBO's world, (free to members) a
writers blog you can participate in through our Office website; the
soon to be established youth mentor blog PIETRIdish Learning Program
dedicated to the half dozen students we are grooming to enter
Universities throughout the US; and our six overseas Private
Yahoo groups numbering 12,248 members stationed in England, France,
Germany, Japan, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Sounds pretty serious? Well, the company focus is serious but we
also encourage a huge dose of humor, satire, and bawdy comedy to
keep things interesting.

If there is a New Edge Mantra that governs our thought process it
would be two of the pivotal lines from our production of S.panish

if its not it should be!"; "Even if it were to all go away tomorrow,
