Jennifer Lopez wants to get intimate with her fans.
The bodacious singer-actress and her Sweetface Fashion venture will introduce a
line of intimate apparel, the JLO by Jennifer Lopez Lingerie collection, in Fall
2004 according to the AP.
As creative director, the pop idol will infuse her personal style into the
design of the line's sleepwear, loungewear, bras, panties and shapewear. Known
for her terpsichore-toned tuchus, Lopez will also cater to the curvaceous woman
with full-figure lingerie fashions.
Department stores and specialty stores nationwide will carry the collection,
which will also be marketed overseas.
"Our goal as a lifestyle brand is to dress our consumers from head-to-toe with
products inspired by Jennifer," says Denise Seegal, president and CEO of
Sweetface Fashion Company in a news release, "and lingerie will be an integral
part of the JLO look."
Sweetface Fashion is already well on its way to the Lopez-ization of the world,
marketing and selling the JLO by Jennifer Lopez sportswear collection, swimwear,
jewelry, outerwear, handbags, small leather goods, fragrance and other
accessories.
Before outfitting the world in satin and lace, Lopez will make another
nationwide endeavor, convincing moviegoers to see her first film since this
summer's "Gigli" fiasco. "Jersey Girl," the Kevin Smith-directed comedy that
reunites her with perpetual fiancee Ben Affleck, is scheduled for release in
March.
