Just released, Kathy's brand new DVD "Kathy Talks About Elvis".
As stated before, this is Kathy's very candid conversation with her
friend Diana, and nothing is left out. This is the DVD everyone will
be talking about.
Kathy made this tape for only one reason, and as she states on the
DVD, that's because
she doesn't want to go to her grave, without clearing up all the
misunderstandings.
Included in this DVD are two slide shows of Elvis and Kathy, taken by
famed Elvis photographer Keith Alverson, while in the back ground,
she sings,
"My Heavenly Father Watches Over Me," the song she sang at his
funeral, and a very rare clip of her singing "We've Never Been This
Far Before" (I've never even hear her sing before, so you know it's
rare).
Here's a clip taken from the new DVD I put on the website. I chose
this particular clip because I love what she says about Elvis, and I
guarantee, if these words from Kathy, don't rock your Monday,
nothing will.

From elvis.com
Elvis tribute by Faith Hill to debut online January 30th, 2008
1/29/2008 Faith Hill is set to premiere her performance of Elvis
Presley's classic "That's All Right," on Wednesday, January 30th.
After originally recording both "That's All Right" and "Peace In The
Valley" for "Viva Las Vegas," a 2-hour ABC Network television special
honoring the late singer, CMT began airing "Peace In The Valley." But
numerous inquiries were made at faithhill.com requesting "Mama," and
now the Grammy Award winning singer will give the video its online
premiere, which can only be seen in its entirety as of 11A.M. EST on
www.faithhill.com.
"We recorded "Mama" and "Peace In The Valley," last year in a
completely empty arena, in the round and stripped down, said
Faith. "It was a blast. We channeled Elvis by setting the stage as if
we were back in 1968 (his comeback special). These songs and being a
part of the special reminded me of who he was, what he stood for; he
defined what it was and is to be an entertainer."
The "Viva Las Vegas" special, produced in cooperation with Elvis
Presley Enterprises, Inc, originally aired on September 18, 2007. The
special honored Elvis Presley's legacy and contribution to
contemporary music, and featured some of music's most influential and
talented artists, including Celine Dion, Aerosmith, and Paul
McCartney.

Lisa Marie Remembers Elvis
Posted Aug 16th 2007 9:00PM by Beville Darden
Filed under: Spinner Interview
She's the daughter of music's biggest icon, a singer-songwriter in
her own right, a mother of two and the head of one of the world's
biggest tourist attractions. Lisa Marie Presley is also very
outspoken. On the week of the 30th anniversary of Elvis Presley's
death -- which she commemorated by filming a duet of 'In the Ghetto' -
- she shared with Spinner her candid opinions on the
commercialization of his music, her distaste for young Hollywood and
why she doesn't need fans to remind her how wonderful her dad was.
Tell us about the making of the 'In the Ghetto' video.
I wanted to use this anniversary for something really good. So first
I picked the song. David Foster produced it. I called him last minute
and he had four hours to lay a track down of mine on the original
version -- and that turned out really good. And when it came to the
video, I wanted Tony Kaye ('American History X') to direct. He's
controversial; he's cool. He was in New Orleans filming a movie, and
he had just a few hours. So I flew to New Orleans.
And this video is not only for the 30th anniversary, it's also for a
good cause.
All of this -- the song, the video -- is going to charity. The money
from the downloads is going to help build another Presley Place in
New Orleans, which is a transitional housing program that we started
in Memphis. Families come in and live there, get their life skills
and get it together. They get jobs ... and then about a year later,
they move out when they can get back on their feet. This program has
been doing incredibly well for the past few years, so I wanted to
branch it out. It's something [Elvis] was very interested in, because
it's kinda where he started from. And Presley Place is near where he
was raised. I wanted to do this [video] and use it for something
good. All fingers pointed towards New Orleans. I landed there to do
the video and I looked around when I got off the plane, and it looks
like Katrina happened six months ago. That's when it all fell
together. And all proceeds -- not a portion of -- all proceeds are
going towards building a transitional housing building in New Orleans.
Did you find filming the video to be an emotional experience, being
that you're singing with your dad in a setting that's still suffering
the effects of Katrina?
The next morning, I heard the rough [recording], and just lost it
when I heard it. And I've never cried when I've done anything --
ever. So I know it's good. It's pretty organic. There are no bells
and whistles -- they just added me into the original recording.

Kathy's new DVD, "Then and Now" was just released a few minutes ago,
and is now available her website.
For all of you that have been asking me over the years if any video
or audio was available of Kathy and her daughter Lindsey together,
you'll be happy to know, that this video contains one of each.
The video clip ends the DVD, with the two performing in Pahrump,
Nevada in 2005, as Lindsey surprises Kathy by joining her on stage
for a totally unrehearsed duet of "Lay Down Beside Me", the song
Kathy sang to Lindsey when she was a baby.
The audio duet is a priceless clip performed in Holland with a 10-
year-old Lindsey taking center-stage for "Love Isn`t Love Until You
Give It Away", while Kathy does the back-up. The audio clip plays
behind a slide show containing photos and facts you've probably never
seen, including one of Kathy and Steve Martin doing their comedy act
at Knotts Berry Farm while they were still in high school together.
The newspaper clipping with the photo reads --- Two Talented Teens ---
if they only knew then how far these two would really go on their
separate journeys --- .

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELVIS
I hope you're all spending the day listening to Elvis music and
watching his movies and concerts on TV.
If so, you've also been spending the day listening to the voice of
Kathy Westmoreland, known throughout the 70s` as the singer Elvis

voice.
Have you ever wondered what the petite and lovely Kathy, who stood

notes, was "really like"? Or thought about what it would be like
to spend time just kicking back, and listening to her tell stories
about the seven years she spent with Elvis both "on and off stage"?
Well now's your once-in-a-lifetime chance to do just that, and what
better way to celebrate his birthday than picking up your phone and

ELVIS: Remembering August 16, 1977 is a book that is totally devoted
to memories of fans regarding the day Elvis Presley passed away. It is
about their private thoughts of that fateful day, not the usual
negative things that have been written so much about him in recent
years. Before going on, I must mention that one of these memories is
my own. Obviously, this puts me in a position of being a little
conflictive, but then if you are reading this, you must be a fan and
want an honest opinion. I feel I can do that.
This book includes memories of the day Elvis died from all over the
world. This surprised me, but I can honestly say that as far as I
know, I do not know any of these people personally who have
contributed. Some fans were very short with their contributions while
others had two of more pages. However, no matter how long or short
each story was, if you are an Elvis fan, you feel their words. You
feel what they felt. Many times as I read this book there would be
something said that would really hit home for me. I won't go into any
details so as not to give things away. It is not a long book only a
little over 120 pages, but I think any real Elvis fan will find it
intriguing. There is an occasional typo causing me to not give it 5
stars, but it is a very minor point.
Ron Collamore is a relatively unknown author, but along with his
co-author Michael Best, I believe they have captured something very
meaningful and unique with this work. I highly recommend this book for
any true Elvis fan who understands what the world lost on August 16th,
1977. To borrow a phrase from the authors, and in my own words, let me
point out that "there are two common threads pertaining to each story
in this book. First, there is a strong love for Elvis and secondly,
since his death we fans have all been deeply affected.
Hi everyone - this is Hilda Obusek. A while back, I mentioned that
my husband, Don (an ETA from Pittsburgh) and I wanted to do
something special, in honor of next year being the 30th anniversary
of the passing of Elvis. We wanted to do something fun, and came up
with the idea of doing a group cruise to the Bahamas, on April 20 -
23, 2007, onboard Carnival's Cruise Ship 'The Fascination'.
Well, I have some really exciting news to tell you about the cruise -
we have just confirmed that two very special guests are going to
come along with us!
Are you ready for the news?
We are extremely proud and honored to announce that KATHY
WESTMORELAND and her assistant, JUNE MOORE will be accompanying us!!
As you know, Kathy was Elvis's lead female singer throughout
the '70's, and was formerly known as 'the little girl with the
beautiful high voice'! June is the co-author of 'Walk a Mile in
Their Shoes' and was also the Elvis Columnist for Suite 101.
Kathy and June will be greeting the guests on the ship and will also
pose for pictures. Kathy will be sharing her very special memories
of her time with Elvis. She will also be happy to autograph any
merchandise that is purchased onboard the ship!
To book this ultra-exclusive event, please call Sheri at MAC
Travel. In Pittsburgh: 412-875-0055. Toll Free:
1-800-243-0550.
Cabin prices start at $384 per person, double occupancy, inside
stateroom. This includes your meals, taxes and port charges.
Airfare and transfers (your transportation from the airport to the
ship's dock) are extra. The ship will leave from Miami.
More detailed information is on our website:
www.magicofelvis.com
Unfortunately, last week, my computer decided to blow up so I
haven't been able to do a lot of my important work. I lost a lot of
important computer files. I don't have details of Kathy's special
guest appearance on our site yet. Hopefully, by next week I will be
able to get to that.
This would make a really great Christmas present, birthday present,
wedding, graduation or anniversary gift for your sweetie (or for
yourself!) Come join Don and Hil and Kathy and June on what will
be one of the major highlights of 2007!
Cabins will book quickly, so please call now to avoid disappointment.
As time goes on, I will keep everyone informed on the 'CruiseNews'!
Thanks and take care. We hope to see you in April.
hugs,
Hil

"We Remember, Elvis. So many things, feelings, thoughts and the
love shining from your eyes, coming through your beautiful voice and
the sunshine of your smile."
We Remember, Elvis, 2006 new revised edition, contains more than 100
pages of interview with Elvis. by Wanda June Hill. (First released
hardback in 1979)
This is a book about the spiritual Elvis, the inner man who said
he was a human being first, a man second and then an entertainer. He
wasn't a saint, but he tried never to hurt anyone. He wanted more
than anything to bring love, good will and laughter to his many fans
and spent his while life seeking to do just that. He was a man on a
mission, to bring joy and hope and to understand why he was Elvis
Presley. He read thousands of books, seeking to understand the world,
and himself, to find peace and impart blessings from the stage to his
fellow human beings. Besides Wanda June Hill's memories, there are
over 24 other people telling how they met Elvis, each one different
and yet the same Elvis. Included are a few of the letters Wanda June
received after the release of her hardback book in the late 70's
including one from Elvis' father Vernon Presley.
Elvis tells his early days stories in the 100 page interview
section, here you will find the young Elvis remembering his families
early struggles, then something made him do the first recording, to
hear himself so he could do better and then he got his first break,
Sun Records called him in, but he couldn't quite get what the owner
Sam Phillips wanted, but finally one seemed okay and was "tested
locally". He relates the fear he felt when his first recording was
played on local radio, how scared he was when told Dewey Phillips
wanted to interview him on the air. Elvis says he "liked to died" when
Dewey told him he "had a hit record son". He and two fellow musicians
went out and hustled trying to find jobs, to get a name for
themselves, sleeping in the car, going without food to buy gas and
sometimes having to call home for bus fare when the car broke down.
He wasn't yet 19 when his father was driving him back and forth to do
the Louisiana Hayride where Elvis was hired to do commercial jingles,
but he said, he met lots of other entertainers who taught him things,
helped him
learn the tricks of the business. He played in clubs and places his
momma didn't want him in, and dutifully went outside to escape "those
kinda women comin' in" but once he didn't make it and met Patsy Cline
who was "doing real well". He was 18, too young for her "so nothin'
happened", but "she sure could sing!"
Elvis reveals his thoughts on his marriage, his wife and child and
how he is dealing with being Elvis Presley. He talks about his health,
what he hopes for the future, that he loves performing. "It's my
life." He relates army days, meeting his future wife and talks about
his love for America and it's people.
Here is the real Elvis, the guy behind the image, behind the crown
that he said is not his, but Jesus, the Christ's and he as a mortal
man, is not fit to wear the crown of a king. Elvis spoke of writing
his own book in '77-here he almost does just that. A MUST READ!
Aprox. 248 pages.

Hi there,
I am SAM, an Iraqi refugee living in Lebanon at the moment; I have spent the
last 10 years of my life as a refugee registered with the UNHCR in Beirut. The
last 4 years, I have spent as an activist for peace and human rights (especially
refugees and asylum seekers) on the Internet; I'm also books author and ebooks
publisher. I have launched many campaigns to improve our situation as refugees
in Lebanon and hopefully bring more understanding to our problems worldwide. I
helped make many changes and improvements at the UNHCR office in Beirut; I used
the Internet as the field for my activities (you can read more about that in my
free ebook 'MY CAMPAIGNS'). All my ebooks are free and could be download from my
sites.
This is my newest campaign, it's about the illegal and humiliating actions of
the UNHCR, who using photos of refugees as banners and human-buttons to collect
money. This is an abuse of the dignity and humanity of the refugees and must
stop immediately and a clear public apology present by The United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees. My friends, I am talking about the pictures you can

campaign is to support and improve the UNHCR http://www.unhcr.ch especially
after the last scandals in the UN and UNHCR, just for example:
The refugees allege that UNHCR staff is selling most of the food items they are
supposed to be supplied.
"They aren't supplying sufficient food to us because they sell most of the food

Kathy's daughter Lindsey is going with her so will probably join
her on stage for a song or two. If you haven't had the chance of
seeing Kathy and her daughter singing together you don't know what
you're missing. Lindsey has a wonderful voice, and has been singing
with Kathy since she was a little girl, but just never desired
pursuing it as a career, so the only time she sings, is when she
travels with Kathy. Listening to the two of them blending their
voices together is a truly wonderful experience.
