Sage,
Hang in there and I hope you get some relief from this procedure. I
too suffer chronic pain. Mine was from childhood surgery to correct
foot problems (result arthritis from top of feet up shin and bone
spurs in ankles), car accident (torn muscle in lower back which
prevented me from standing straight which excellerated degenerative
disk disease and bone spurs in spine), and now I have radial tunnel
in my right arm (and I'm a rightie) since August 2007 which formed
tennis elbow and subluxation of the shoulder.
I was in physical therapy for 3 years for the back and took every
pain med my docs could find.
The only thing that has helped me so far is acupuncture. The day I
tried it I stood up straight (and by the time I tried it I was
already losing feeling in my legs and falling down) and my childhood
pain in the ankles was gone. I'm now going to try it for my radial
tunnel in addition to more Physical Therapy.
It may not help everyone, but if you have an open mind it is worth a
try. And yes, I tried chiropractic therapy and it made it
worse...don't ask me to recommend that treatment to anyone. ;-)
By the way, for anyone out there using MySpace, I've been on there
awhile...not really by choice but out of a "requirement." Don't
ask. You might find me if you've searched, but my page is private
so don't take offense. Just send me a note if you want to
be "added" to friends. My homepage is the best way to find out what
I'm doing and you can always find me now and then on AIM and of
course email.
Cheers and be well everyone!
