Hey, Gojira, post something on-topic, please. Like what's it like
ripping up commuter trains with your bare hands(?) paws(?)
Anybody see the original 'Gojira" WITHOUT Raymond Burr airbrushed in?
The story and the acting were still as hokey as ever, but for a 1950's
movie, it was a lot less cheesy than I expected it to be visually. I
loved all the model sets of Tokyo. Not too many parts of Tokyo still
look like that, but you can see it in pockets. I saw "Godzilla" when it
came out in the U.S. and had only the vaguest recollection of how
Raymond Burr fit in the plot. My most enduring memory was of Gojira's
march on Tokyo, and that was even better than I remembered it, seeing
it this time, almost 50 years later, maybe because they didn't keep
cutting to Raymond Burr's commentary.
