I haven't had a chance to see "Memoirs of a Geisha" yet. How are Yakusho-san's
fans reacting to it in Japan? Is their reaction any different from the general
public's reaction? I have read that in both China and Japan there is a lot of
displeasure with the casting of Chinese actors in Japanese roles.
Rob Marshall called Yakusho-san the Al Pacino of Japan. I wonder if that's a
good analogy. He reminds me more of Jimmy Stewart, in terms of his physical
comedy ability. Are people in Japan familiar with Jimmy Stewart?
