Hi Lucas.
I appreciate your letting us know that.
As I was reading your message, an idea struck me.
As some of you all may know, the next major
upgrade to the Microsoft Windows operating system
(due to be released no earlier than late 2005 but
possibly later than that) is called "Longhorn."
According to Microsoft, "Longhorn represents the
most significant step forward in the Windows
platform since the move from 16-bit to 32-bit
computing in 1995." That's when Windows went from
version 3.11 to Win95 for those of you who had a
computer at that time and remember what a
revolution that was.

for more info.
Obviously Microsoft is going to launch their new
operating system with a lot of fanfare and a huge
advertising campaign. So the idea hit me: What
better spokesperson for their ad campaign could
Microsoft ever hope to find than Janine Turner?
Imagine the possibilities!
A helicopter shot showing Janine on horseback
rounding up a herd of longhorns into a corral,
with Bonanza-like western-sounding music playing.
Cut to a ground-level shot showing Janine
dismounting and closing the gate. "Hi. I'm Janine
Turner. I raise longhorn cattle. Why longhorns?
Just look at those magnificent creatures." (Janine
starts striding away from the corral while
removing her leather gloves.) "Can anyone find a
better breed of cattle?" (Janine's speech pauses
for a few seconds while she continues her stride,
not looking directly at the camera, and on her face
is a knowing smile--knowing that the answer to her
question is obviously No. Then she looks at the
camera again and continues ...) "And When it comes
to running your business or home office, can
anyone find a more powerful or secure operating
system than Longhorn?" (Quickly cutting to another
camera angle, the music suddenly stops and the
camera very quickly zooms in to a close-up of
Janine's face as she turns her head and looks
directly into the camera, and with that one raised
eyebrow look, asks ...) "What do *you* think?"
Now hear this: I hereby reserve all the rights to
this advertising idea, and if somebody wants to buy
it, I will entertain offers. ;-)
