Jim,
I'm sure you meant fertility specialist. As I understand Janine's
situation, she did not leave the series due to a pregnancy, but
because she wished to spend more time with her daughter. I'm sure
that was a large part of it but suspect there may have been other
(unspoken) factors involved.
Janine has obviously had a successful career to this point. I get
the impression she's less motivated by the pursuit of wealth and fame
than are most on the Hollywood "scene". Perhaps she figures that a
successful life involves something other than the never-ending game
of acquiring greater riches and notoriety. If such suppositions are
true, in my opinion that only makes her a lady blessed with more than
her obvious external beauty, but also with clear thinking ability and
a well-balanced set of values.
Of course, because so little is really known about Janine's off-
camera life, we're left to our speculations and theories. It's
obvious she treasures her privacy. And who can blame her?
I'm sure she could find work in the blink of an eye if she wanted
to. And it looks as though we, her fans, can do nothing other than
wait until she wants to.
I'd still love to see her in a situation comedy--but a clean one; not
one like so many others today that celebrate immoral behavior. That
pendulum has swung about as far as I care to see it swing in that
direction, and I think it's time for it to start swinging the other
way for a while.
Sorry. I'm starting to sound preachy again, and I don't mean to.
I'll just leave it there for now.
