Wow! A fan from India! This is so marvelous! I'm sorry you don't get TCM
over there anymore...perhaps you could call your cable company and ask them
why? We do that all the time over here. But perhaps you could order some
tapes or DVD's online? I don't know what kind of encoding your videos have
over there. Here in the States, our video's and DVD's are all NTSC.
England has the PAL system, which means we can't buy tapes there and play
them on our machines.

I've been a fan since 1964. I watched Yankee DD when I was 11, and that was
it for me! He's made so many wonderful movies, and I've seen just about all
of them, I guess! There's just a few I haven't seen. Hang in there,
Ashutosh...you'll get more Cagney someday!

Deb

HI!! everyone
I am probably the youngest cangey fan, and believe
me I could had been more younger fan but since I am not from any of
the western country, it took me lot effort to see old hollywood films.
I am from INDIA, I am 22, I first saw jimmy's film when I
was 19. Actually when I saw the ' footlight parade, I hated jimmy,
and I never thought in my dreams at that times, that this is the guy
I am going to get crazy for in next few months.
YANKEE DOODLE DANDY was the first film I saw of him (i have
seen it for four times) I have seen only 12-15 films of james cagney.
But now the things are bad for me, since, the only channel
which used to show old hollywood films ( Tuner classic movies) has
suddenly stopped it's transmission in india from aug 1 2001, this has
made impossible for me to see cagney again, and in fact all the old
hollywood films anymore. Also I can't expect to find his films on cd
in india!!!!
I even don't have any poster or picture of him being his
die hard fan, as it is impossible to find it here in india.
I am terribly disappointed at this situataion but I
can't help it.
I wish all the club members a great week ahead and
happy viewing of cagney films.
