Sorry it's taken so long to say WELCOME, Louise!
This is a quiet little group, but give us the kick we need! I also love
Yankee DD! And his little tap dance in 7 Little Foys was fantastic...and he
could barely walk, because of a bad knee, or something like that. He just
about collapsed when they yelled Cut!
I'm also glad to see such a young Cagney fan...thanks to you, and other
Cagney "kids", he truly will live on!
Best Wishes,
Deb

Subject: [James Cagney] I'm new
Sorry I haven't posted before.
Hi I'm Louise, I live in the UK and I'm 28 nearly 29. My parents had
me late which is how I know old Cagney films. My father being a big
fan (they died in the same year '86).
I've been watching Yankee Doodle for the first time in two years. I
still absolutely love it. I don't cry as much now though.
Once thing I didn't know though was that Eddie Foy Jnr played his dad
(I've seen The Seven Little Foys with my nan when I was a kid -
Cagney tap dances on the table.
Another point in the chapter notes at the beginning of two of the
chapters in the book Sleepers (Lorenzo Carcerterra) one line is used
from Angels and another from the excellent Pat O'Brien, Mickey Rooney
movie Boys town.
Anyway take care all.
Lou
