Mike:
I was very happy to hear that your FILM MAGAZINE in Iran did a poll
and named Ingrid Bergman No. l, Katharine Hepburn No. 2 and Audrey
Hepburn No. 3. As you probably know, the American Film Institute
here in the U.S., named Katharine Hepburn No. 1, Bette Davis No. 2,
Audrey Hepburn No. 3 and Ingrid Bergman No. 4. I always thought Ingrid
should have been No. l, NOT Katharine Hepburn, whom I think, is
overrated. As for Audrey Hepburn, although she was an excellent
actress, I never would place her above Ingrid. What the judges do not
realize is that Ingrid died at 67 with 3 Oscars. Katharine Hepburn
died at 96 with 4 oscars (that's a lot of life). If Ingrid lived until
96, she would have had 5 or 6 oscars. Thanks for your information.
Diane
