Re: [Ingrid Bergman International] Someone emailed me about Goodbye Again!

In this movie, Ingrid wore many lovely clothes. I know they were
circa 1960 but they are gorgeous outfits. I did not think they looked
dowdy on her at all. She looked elegant! as usual, in every scene.
Another movie,
Indiscreet, she wore the most striking gowns. It was a pleasure to
see her in such
beautiful dresses, suits, sweaters, etc. in Goodbye Again. Susan
Sarandon?
I believe she would have said to Roger (when he called with his
usual, "I can't make
it tonight") "Oh that's all right, Roger. I was just going to call
you. I can't make it
either. I'm going out myself."

I did not like the idea that she applies face cream at the end of the
movie.
Why didn't they have her brush her hair instead? It would have made the
scene far more dramatic rather than covering her beautiful face with
that goo
as the scene closes.

Ingrid's acting here was superb. Susan Sarandon, although she is a
fine actress,
is not an exceptionally beautiful woman. This is not her type of
role. Ingrid,
on the other hand, owned the role. She was in almost every major scene.
She owned the part.

Mary, where is your review of Goodbye Again? I may have read it, but
need to read it again.

Diane
