I have read every available book about Ingrid. The only quote that comes close
to Dr. Wang's
is the one that Mary cited: "Happiness is good health and a bad memory."
Although Ingrid is
often credited with these words, it would appear that it is a variation of Dr.
Albert
Schweitzer's statement that "Happiness is nothing more than good health and a
bad
memory." It seems to me that this quote pre-dates Dr. Schweitzer's but I have
no proof of
that. Of course, I cannot answer for any untranslated statements she made in
foreign
interviews.
