What a gem! I just watched a recording of Ingrid being interviewed by
Merv Griffin in 1973. She was the president of the jury at the Cannes
Film Festival. This may have already been discussed here but it was my
first time seeing it. It is now my favorite interview of Ingrid. She
was stunningly beautiful. She was about 58 but she barely looked 40.
There were a lot of closeups as she spoke and I did not see a single
wrinkle. She spoke very candidly and you could see a bit more of her
personality as she spoke passionately about her job. She looked simply
exquisite in a white blouse with a pearl necklace and obviously no make-
up. She laughed a lot and said she was happy. She spoke about
Casablanca and really summed up why people are so fascinated with that
movie. Merv Griffin was obviously in awe of her.
