Dear Ingrid friends,
This was a surprise, seeing the new look Yahoo group! All the print is
very large on my computer. I am trying to upload a new photo, but can
never do this in the evening - don't know why not.
There's been no message from me for a week or two, because I've been
preoccupied with the final illness and death of The Holy Father.
Having seen the scenes from Rome, I'm filled with a longing to go back
there - and this time to find the places associated with Ingrid!!!!!
At this time - April - in 1959, Ingrid was in Los Angeles for the
Oscars ceremony, accompanied by Lars and Pia [who still liked to be
known as Jenny Ann, which must have been sad for Ingrid]. Ingrid
presented the Oscar to Arthur Freed for best film - "Gigi".
