Did you ever play Chaos Strikes back, the sequel to Dungeon Master? A Quake style (well, broadly ;) game which was pretty thoroughly non-linear . . . a swine...
Sorry, I haven't been paying attention to this thread, but X-Beyond The Frontier is probably the most fun and non-linear game I played since Frontier Elite....

I have X-beyond the frontier, no add on pack but its too hard to get to grips with, sadly (for me) i read elite 4 is coming out soon WOW...
