Hey Ken!
I also think that Ernest was an only child. If his father was an electrician,
then that would explain Ernest's love of gadgets and fixing things. His mom
would have been a part time hairdresser and Avon Lady, and perhaps worked at the
carnival during the summer, selling tickets, Of course, Ernest would get in for
free, and that's where he learned to imitate all sorts of people. He is a true
people pleaser and has a pure heart. He is the eternal optimist, I guess that's
why Ernest is my favorite character.

Okay all you Ernest lovers out there, we need your
help. Some of us are interested in finding out more
about Ernest: not about the actor, but about the
character Ernest himself. It is suggested that Ernest
was created to be a mirror of the typical rural folk
of eastern US. I think he might have been an only
child with his father being an electrician. But he
could have been part of a large family. What do you
guys think? Did Ernest come from a large family?
Lots of brothers and sisters? What was his family
heritage like? How did he and Vern meet? Share with
us your opinions on the Ernest P. Worrell character as
to his possible life, heritage, and upbringing?
