Hi all! Yes, I wish we had more "Harvey" talk around here rather than a lot of
bad spelling
(peniz? Please! Graduatin?!)
So I do have some real Harvey talk as I have just finished reading two books I
want you to
know about. Now..if you are a huge Harvey fan like I am you may already know
about
these but some may not.
I just finished reading Lorraine Bracco's "On the Couch". Since she was with him
for about
12 years there are many chapters about him in the book - mostly not good. Altho
I admire
her for writing this book I don't really admire her for all the Harvey bashing
which by this
time she should have made her peace about some other way than in a book. It
really
makes him look very bad and crazy and he has no chance to defend himself. I am
sure this
book made him very furious! Being divorced myself many years ago I know you can
work
thru your anger some other way than to bash your ex in a book for all the world
to read.
I got the impression she really never understood him and she did admit to that
in the
book.
But its a good read if only for the information about Harvey.
The other book I read is "Harvey Keitel The Art of Darkness" by Marshall Fine.
It is out of
print and I bought it on Amazon.com for $7.00. Fascinating book with lots of
history
about his movies. I would suggest read the Bracco book first and then this one
and you
will think better of him afterwards.
I know he may be crazy but I still love Harvey! Wish he would make some good
movies
again. Anyone know if his new movie is supposed to be good. I just love "The
Piano" and
"Smoke" plus some of his oldies.
Let's have more Harvey posts please! Tired of the junk! LINDA M
