Well, fans, just two days after posting the news that Keitel has
joined the epic, "Empty City", with Adam Sandler, comes the news that
Keitel has already signed on for another new film.
The new project is an indie film called "My Sexiest Year", which
will feature Frankie Muniz (of TV's 'Malcolm in the Middle') as a
young man who begins a fractious relationship with his long estranged
father (played by Keitel). The kid also becomes involved with a model
girl. The filming on that one begins at the end of April, in Miami
and New York. This will, presumably, be after Keitel finishes his
part of "Empty City", which is filming now in NYC.
Well, it certainly seems that Keitel is gearing up a bit again.
Watch for his epic, 6 hour mini-series on 9/11 later this year on
ABC, plus the upcoming DVD releases of "Puerto Vallarta
Squeeze", "Cuban Blood", and "Shadows in the Sun".
And, by the way, it seems that Harvey has dropped out of a project
he was previously attached to. I previously announced that he would
appear in "Dedication", with Mandy Moore, but it seems he is no
longer attached. The film just wrapped in NYC, and Tom Wilkinson has
replaced Keitel in the film. Oh well, I wasn't too excited about
Keitel appearing in a couple of scenes of a Mandy Moore romantic
comedy anyway...
