Hello! Been a while since I've been around much, but things are
picking up again. First off, as you all seem to know, yesterday was
HK's 65th. Birthday. So, Happy Birthday Harvey!
Next, comes the exciting news that, on Aug. 17, Warner Home
Video will unveil "The Martin Scorsese Collection", a five film, six
disc boxed DVD set!! The DVD set has been four years in the making,
and will include the DVD debuts of Scorsese's "Who's That Knocking at
My Door?", "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore", and "After Hours". It
will also feature newly remastered, special editions of "GoodFellas"
and "Mean Streets"!! They say the "Knocking " disc will have a behind
the scenes featurette, "Mean Streets" will have an all-new
documentary starring De Niro and Keitel(!), and the other films will
have commentaries and , "GoodFellas" in particular, will have LOTS of
other bonus materials. Thank you WB!!!! You've made my year!!!
Also, the following is relevant Keitel release dates that I
know of, as of now: The Scorsese set will be out Aug. 17; "National
Treasure" will hit theatres everywhere on Nov. 24; and "Be Cool" will
be released to theatres on Feb. 11, 2005. No word yet on "The Bridge
of San Luis Rey", tell you when I know it.
Finally, Harvey is currently on location right now in Italy,
shooting "Shadow Dancer" with director Brad Mirman.
I hope to be checking in more frquently in the near future, as
more and more HK news comes down the line.
